Book Signing....
On December 10 Richard heard the Glenn Beck conversion story. He was really impressed by the story and came home and told be the story. I was intrigued and went to his home page the next day. I found that he would be in Irving that night signing books. On a whim we decided to go and buy a book to get signed. How fun! We stood in line for an hour waiting for him to show up. He was about 45 min. late. Once he was there the line moved fast. We had two book signed--one for us and one for Aunt Zelma. We met some interseting people. We had a great time! Here are some pictures of us in line and then in front of his tour bus. You can just make out Chiron and me. These are not the best quality pictures. I used the camera on my cell phone.
EASY????
Last night I was rocking my baby to sleep listening to my boys playing wii in the other room. This is the conversation that I heard between Daniel and Nathan.
N: Hey Daniel, do you know how to spell "easy"?
D: Yes
N: Then spell it.
D: EASE
N: No, that's not how you spell it.
D: How do you spell it then?
N: ESAY
D: OH

So This Is Christmas...
It is a tradition in our family that the boys get matching sweaters. It was a little tricky trying to find a sweater for a new born that would match the older boys sweater, but it seemed to work out. I thought that they looked fantastic Sunday. After church we came home and took pictures for our Christmas cards. I know that they will be a little late this year. Better late than never. I didn't use any of these pictures in the card so they are an added bonus. I love taking pics of my boys; although, at times it can be very challenging. I hope that you all enjoy them. Merry Christmas :)

FLOWERS FOR ME???????
Life has been hectic lately. There are many reasons for this--new baby, lack of sleep, activities to attend, sickness, scouts, camping, work, cleaning house, christmas shopping, etc. I have felt a little stressed and fatigued. So the other day I was sitting on the sofa going over spelling words with Qualan and this van pulls up to my house. I watch a guy get out with these flowers. Attatched to the flowers is a red balloon with I LOVE YOU written on it. It is so nice to be remembered and thought of. Thank you Richard! I love them!!

Retreat...
The Day after Thanksgiving we took a mini vacation to Oklahoma. We rented this cute little cabin. The cabin was stocked with movies and games. The boys loved the hot tub and playing horse shoes. The weather was a bit cold. It would have been nice to have warmer weather. Infact, the day we left it was snowing. We had a big camp fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows. There is a lake here where you can rent a boat, ski jets etc. It was just too cold to do that. We had a great time though. FUN!

Thanksgiving...
Thanksgiving Day! We are so thankful. We spent the day telling each other what we were thankful for. We ate all the traditional foods and then played a family game. This is a picture just before the game we played. All of the boys were sitting on the sofa and I just snaped a picture. I love the photos that are not posed--just every day living. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Brotherly Love
Every day I drive all my boys to school. I drop Nathan and Qualan off first. Then I drop off Daniel. That gives Daniel and me about 5 minutes to be together-just the two of us. Daniel really enjoys this alone time. He enjoys talking to me on a variety of subjects. I love this time. I really get to know Daniel's inner thoughts and feelings. He brings a smile to my face and helps me see the world in a way I never have before. It is precious time--those 5 minutes. This morning he began "I love Nathan. He is the most creative person I know. He came up with Miners. It is really great. He didn't even get help from me. He just came up with it. He wants to turn it into a video game. Might take a couple of years to do. He needs better grades, but it will be so great Mom. He is really creative. I just love him." Brothers!

Time.....
I was looking back at pictures. My sweet Chiron has grown and changed so much! I love having the little guy in our family. He is so easy going. Most of the time he rather be on the floor than my arms. He has a special little spirit about him. I feel like he really needed to be in our sweet family. I just wish that I could freeze time and keep holding him forever. Where do the days go and why do they have to grow so fast? I want to soak up every minute that I am with him. How much that I love this little guy-sweet baby Chiron.
This year for Halloween my boys had a hard time deciding what to be. It came down to the wire and they still didn't know what they wanted. Finally, I suggested to Daniel to be a mummy. So I bought some sheets for Daniel to tear into strips. That left Nathan to be a ghost and Qualan decided to be batman. They had a great time trick-or-treating. The weather was nice and warm. It was great!

For the Love of the Game
Baseball!!! Baseball is so much fun. The boys are loving it and have greatly improved this season. There is nothing like sitting outside watching your son play baseball with all the shouts and smells that go along with the game. Saturdays are filled with games. It is an all day affair. I wouldn't have it any other way. Baseball is just about done. I can't wait til next season!!
Sweet Baby Chiron is Born
August 16, 2008 was a very busy day for me and my family. Richard went to work about 5:00 am. That left me to handle the baseball practices. Qualan had baseball practice at 9:30 at Shawnie and Nathan had baseball practice at 12:00 at Bacchus. So Qualan and Nathan and I left the house with all the baseball gear at 9. Daniel wanted to stay home to play wii. Between practices we went and got donuts and ate them at bacchus. Richard called while we were eating the donuts and said we just received an email stating that Daniel had practice and he was on his way to bacchus. When Richard arrived Qualan and I went home and ate a quick lunch and then headed back to bacchus with Daniel for practice. I stayed and watched Daniel practice for 30 minutes while Qualan and Nathan played at the park. I decided to go to Khol's to look for pj's to wear at the hospital when I delivered. So Nathan and Qualan and I headed to Khol's. They didn't have anything that I liked. So we headed home and on the way I decided to fill up with gas just in case I went into labor. Richard and Daniel beat Qualan and Nathan and I home. It was now about 4:00 and Richard is just beat from being up at 4 in the morning. We decided to feed the boys dinner and then Richard and I would go grocery shopping. While grocery shopping I was feeling a little nauseated. But I just thought that it was such a long day with baseball practice. We came home and put the food away. I wanted to watch a movie I had rented a few days before. We started the movie about 9:30 and it ended about 11:45. I then went and got ready for bed. Richard got on the computer to do some scouts. While getting ready for bed a felt a strong contraction and wasn't feeling good. I called Richard and said let's go to bed. He said good idea. We talked while we got ready for bed about the movie. Just as we laid down (it's about 12:30) I had a contraction. Two minutes later I had another very strong painfull contraction. Richard said let's get you to the hospital. I quickly showered while he called Sister Monnier. We raced to the ER which was about 20 minutes away. I had contractions all the way there. I was hurting pretty good. I walked into the ER and they rushed me up to the 4th floor. I quickly changed into the hospital gown and layed down. About two contractions later the baby arrived. I didn't have a doctor there was no time. It was really really fast. Richard was sent to turn in a paper to admit me and missed the whole thing. I think that he felt bad about that. What a beautiful baby boy! Welcome Chiron to our family! We love you!
